Heaven IS Real

I finally read Heaven Is Real and like other readers read it in one evening. I wrote an article for My People about it. It's actually more than just about a boy's near-death experience and a visit to Heaven. It's about his parents' prayer life and God's answering those prayers. It's been said already by many others, but I agree. It is a book worth reading.

Psalm 88

The Great American Bible Study on Psalms has increased my appreciation for the Psalms, which after all these years I almost didn't think possible. My latest song is based on Ps 88, which was absent in the rather comprehensive Psalms, Hymns and Inspired Psalms. I guess I've never been in such a need for it until now.

O Lord, my God, I call for help All day and all through the night.
Let my prayer come before You, Lord. Show forth Your power and Your might.
You've caused my lover and friend To shun me, I don't know why.
So all that I can do right now Is to turn to You and cry.
You've caused companions to shun me, Made me a horror to them.
I feel shut i, without escape As they me falsely condemn.
Every day I call upon You, You Who are the Almighty.
I spread ot my hands awaiting The blessings You'll soon give me.
